FAQ
-
3 year olds that weigh at least 35 lbs. and up can parasail making parasail a great family activity! There is no height requirement for parasail.
-
The weight limit is based on the wind at the time of the flight. We fly 2 or 3 people at a time and most of the time need more weight in the parachute than you would think. Ultimately, the decision is up to the captain and they do their best to (insure or ensure) everyone gets to fly!
-
You do not have to be dipped in the water (but its the best part!) unless you want to. However, keep in mind that you are in a boat, in the Gulf of Mexico so you more than likely will come back with some salt water on you so dress accordingly. If you don’t wish to be dipped be sure to let the captain know before you go up.
-
Each group will be in the air for up to 10 minutes and the whole trip last about 1 hour from start to finish.
-
You will leave from the back of the boat and land back in the boat unless the captain has to make a water landing for safety reasons.
-
Sure! We allow observers to ride along and watch as long as we have room for observers and they are booked on your reservation. We can not guarantee a seat for anyone that is not reserved with your party.
-
We allow 2 or 3 people in the parasail at a time.
-
We fly with 800 feet of parasail rope, which is the highest allowed!
-
We recommend you wear anything you are comfortable getting wet in!
-
No. You will be wearing a Coast Guard vest for the entire trip.
-
We don’t recommend you take anything on the boat because everything will get wet, however we understand there are somethings you can’t leave behind so we have a small box on the boat to accommodate your phone, keys and wallet. No bags are allowed on the boat as they pose as a trip hazard. We recommend you leave towels in the car so they are dry when you get off the boat.
-
The only cameras allowed are go pro cameras that can strap to you body. Our concern is that your camera will get wet or fall overboard. You can not take your phone in the air with you. Imagine how you will feel when it falls hundreds of feet in the air in to the water. We do offer a photo package if you’d like pictures to remember your experience.
-
No, not at all! It is very peaceful in the air.
